Currently without debts (house, car, credit cards, etc.), the next set of goals include travel, teaching, spending time with my family and ever increasing my own standard of living/lifestyle.

Hi there, my name is Ken I started out using affiliate programs back in 1997, well tried to. I fell prey to scammers and really did not know a thing about this business of Internet Marketing (IM). The first couple of years were rough, I made a few sales, spent a ton of money on programs and even ended up smashing my computer with a sledge hammer. Back then, I just wanted a simple, low maintenance way to earn supplemental income. I used to get sucked into many programs promising "quick riches" or a "get rich quick" programs and well, just got further and further into debt.

So, I did what any frustrated, desperate yet determined person would do, I made it my personal mission to study the "Big Dogs" and see what made them tick and how they are able to do what they do (make a lot of money online).

Fast forward to 2004 and my "Quit my Day Job" experience when I told the boss to shove it. You see all the studying, testing and learning how it's done began to pay off. I began to easily see through all the junk (and there was and is a lot of it out there) and discovered all the "Gurus", the marketers making the big bucks were pretty much using the same methods or strategies in their business models. Yes, there are a number of business models to follow and grow a successful online business and all the pro's use them.

Long story short, The big secret to this whole Internet marketing thing is this, "There is no Big Secret". Online Marketing, Affiliate or otherwise is the same as Offline Marketing in the respect that it takes Work, Time, Knowledge and Money. That being said, there are some very good programs to get you started quickly for relatively a small investment up front. With continued work and learning, you can grow a business to what ever level you like.

The bottom line is this, I hate all the Hype, Fluff and Bull that permeates the market today with all the recycled, rewritten old stuff labled as new "secrets". I want to build my business on solid, lasting and proven methods and attract my wealth using ethical, moral and acceptable business practices and principals. James Allen's "As a Man Thinketh", Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich", Wallace D Wattles "The Science of Getting Rich" and others Claude C Hopkins' "Scientific Advertising" are among books that should be in your library as many new works are based on the ideas and philosophies contained in these books and others written many, many years ago. "The Secret" is one recent publication that used this technique.
